Remotely Backup and Restore MSSql DB
How many times you find yourself trying to backup and restore MSsql db remotely without RDP or interface available?

I found out myself using the sqlcmd command to restore .sql script with only using the SQL Management Studio utility

First left create the .sql file by opening the SQL Management Studio and connect it to the source DB

On the next page we click the next button

On the next page we select table , views , schemas

On the next page we type the file path (locally):

Click on advance button and select this options:

Then click next to generate the .sql file.

When this process will finish you will find new .sql file with all the information to restore process you need .

Now let's open command line and type this command:

sqlcmd -S <SERVER IP> -d <DB NAME>-i <FULL FILE PATH> -U <DB USER NAME> -P <DB USER PASSWORD >

This process will read the script file and execute it on the remote database.
